Dimension door is a spell that will be found in the Player’s Handbook under the conjuration school of magic. In fifth edition Dungeons and Dragons, dimension door 5e can only be cast by wizards, and it takes up one action to cast this spell; you can use dimension door 5e once per short rest interval. Dimension door 5e allows you to teleport yourself and up to eight willing creatures within five feet of you instantly to any location within 100 feet that you have seen before; if you are over 100 feet away from your destination, then the creatures will be teleported within five feet of their destination.
What is the Dimension Door spell?

How does it work?
When you cast this spell, you can teleport yourself and up to eight willing creatures of your choice that you can see within range, or a single object that you can see within range, to a destination you select. If you target an object, it must be able to fit entirely inside a 10-foot cube, and it can’t be held or carried by an unwilling creature. The destination you choose must be known to you, and it must be on the same plane of existence as you.
Things to Consider
When creating a dimension door, there are a few things you should keep in mind. The first is the size of the door. It must be large enough for whatever or whoever is going through it. The second is the location. The door must be placed on a stable surface that can support its weight. The third is the frame. The door frame should be made of sturdy material that can withstand being opened and closed multiple times. The fourth is the hinges. They should not create any friction when opening or closing the door. The fifth is security. You want to make sure the door cannot be opened from the outside without a key, so it will not open by accident while someone is entering or exiting through it.
The sixth is durability. You want to make sure your door can handle wear and tear throughout time so it does not break down quickly.
When you cast this spell, you can see and hear a demiplane. The plane is coterminous with your current plane, but it is treated as if it were co-located with the point you choose within 120 feet of you. You can enter the demiplane through an invisible portal that opens at the point you choose. The portal is a two-way barrier that prevents anything from passing through it, except for creatures and objects native to the demiplane.
